Campbell

 

Campbell is a hip and growing Silicon Valley city with affordable real estate and one of the area’s largest shopping centers. It’s also an attractive community dotted with parks and green space. The housing options available here are diverse, from pockets of classic Craftsman-style properties and charming mid-century modern single-family homes to contemporary townhouses. Most of Campbell’s older homes have undergone extensive modern refurbishment, while others have been torn down and replaced with new spacious, elegant properties.

 

A variety of restaurants and nightlife spots can be found along the streets running between Civic Center Drive and Orchard City Drive. Enjoy authentic Greek-style patio dining at Opa!, delectable brunch dishes at Stacks, and superior cocktails and shareable small plates at Water Tower Kitchen. The Pruneyard, a 250,000 square-foot shopping center, features many more restaurants, retailers, and services, including a Whole Foods Market, numerous beauty salons, specialty stores, and seafood dishes prepared in Pan-Pacific styles at Pacific Catch. Pruneyard Cinemas is an upscale movie-going experience with gourmet in-theater dining. There are numerous other smaller shopping centers and plazas throughout Campbell, such as Nordstrom Rack and Ross Dress for Fewer outlets, and a Nike Factory Store at Westgate Center.

 

Campbell’s Music in the Park brings eight weeks of live music performances to the Orchard City Green over the summer. Other regular events in downtown Campbell are a year-round Farmers’ Market held each Saturday, and monthly special events, including First Friday Street Entertainment and Second Saturdays Artwalk and Entertainment. There’s also a Wine Walk in spring and fall, which offers two days of music, food vendors, kid’s activities; beer and wine at the Boogie Music Festival; and an Oktoberfest extravaganza of food, drinks, and arts and crafts.

 

Local public schools include Capri and Marshall Lane Elementary Schools and Westmont High School.
