Cupertino

 

Cupertino is a hip Silicon Valley city rising into the foothills of the Santa Clara Mountains. Surrounded by trails and open space preserves and with a bustling downtown core at its center, this in-demand community is home to Apple Inc.’s corporate headquarters. Forbes ranks Cupertino as one of the United States’ most educated communities, and its outstanding local schools are a major draw for young families. Stevens Creek Boulevard runs through the heart of Cupertino. There are many places to eat and shop dotted along the boulevard. Alexander’s Steakhouse brings Japanese flare to classic steakhouse fare. The Blue Pheasant combines a sophisticated dining experience serving excellently prepared dishes, such as filet mignon and swordfish, with lively nighttime entertainment, including dancing and karaoke. April’s Cherry Blossom Festival celebrates Cupertino’s relationship with sister city Toyokawa with Japanese food and cultural performances. Fourth of July celebrations begin with a children’s carnival and flag-raising ceremony, followed by a parade and concert in the afternoon, and fireworks show at night. The holiday season kicks off with a Tree Lighting ceremony that features carol singing, music, and a holiday movie screening. 

 

Local public schools include Montclaire and West Valley Elementary Schools, Cupertino Middle School, and Monta Vista High School.
