Menlo Park

 

Menlo Park is a prestigious, peaceful community located close to the world-class Stanford University. Facebook is headquartered at a large campus on Menlo Park’s San Francisco Bay shoreline. Many of Silicon Valley’s most prominent venture capital firms are concentrated along Menlo Park’s well-known Sand Hill Road. Menlo Park is consequently one of the most important spots within the Silicon Valley tech scene. Some of the area’s most spectacular properties, ranging from lavish estates and rustic farmhouses to breathtaking modern masterpieces showcasing the work of world-leading architects, are in this highly sought-after community.

 

The tree-lined streets of downtown Menlo Park are home to boutique fashion and unique home design stores. The downtown area has an eclectic mix of upscale restaurants and chic coffee shops: seasonal Southern French-style cuisine at Left Bank Brasserie; European-style coffees and organic eats at Café Borrone; and deliciously tender pastrami paired with outstanding Belgian beers at, The Refuge. There are other restaurants scattered throughout Menlo Park that offer casual lunch spots to high-end fine dining. Back A Yard Caribbean Grill, north of Menlo Park, serves delicious Caribbean-American fusion food in a laid-back counter-service setting.

 

The Summer Concert Series at Fremont Park in the downtown area brings a wide range of genres to the stage each Wednesday evening between June and August, with three additional concerts held at Kelly Park in August. Menlo Summer Fest, formerly known as Connoisseurs’ Marketplace, features artisanal food and drink vendors, a children’s Super Duper Funzone, and installations by 200 of America’s top artists.

 

Local public schools include Oak Knoll Elementary School, and Hillview and La Entrada Middle Schools.
